“We all swim in the same waters” is the latest mural by artist Alice Pasquini in Hamburg, Germany for Millerntor gallery which benefits Viva con agua, a charity that supports clean water initiatives across the globe.
Even before we are born, we are surrounded by water. During that time our bodies are mainly composed of water and our planet earth is primarily made of water. As an artist there is only one conclusion: ‘We all swim in the same waters’. Despite the fact that there are too many people drowning at seas in pursuit of a better life these days, we need to continue reminding ourselves that we are all part of one world and, in this sense, part of one flow of water, never downwards, always upwards – The artist explains.
