The Gabba art district alley project was established at the start of 2015 in the heart of Historic Filipinotown, in Los Angeles. Curated by Jason Ostro, the project began out of a love of art, and a determination to turn blight into bright.
What started out as just one person offering up their alley wall has now turned into over 80 murals in 3 different alleys! The artists have used every surface from stairways and dumpsters to gated fences and garage doors as their canvas. The project has given the people pride and ownership of their community through art.
The Gabba Arts District continues to grow everyday with artists coming from all over the world. This is the newest edition and 3rd alley in the project.
