Our friend London-based graffiti artist Fanakapan is currently touring the US starting with NY where he completed an impressive series of murals for the Bushwick Collective, the renowned outodoor street gallery of artists from all over the world and founded in May 2012.
Fanakapan has been very busy painting in different locations around Brooklyn with his highly technical free hand style. He mastered this unique technique over the past years and left Brooklyn residents with hyper realistic foil balloon pieces to enjoy.
We documented his journey where you can check both final and progress shots by photographer Raphael Gonzalez below. Stay tuned for more news on Fanakapan’s works as he travels the US …Next stop LA!
Fanakapan produced his first piece entitled ‘Invaders must die’. Make sure to check it out if you happen to be in Brooklyn, the mural is located at Arrogant Swine.
Fanakapan also did not miss out on exploring Brooklyn rooftops and completed this piece entitled – as you would have guessed – ‘High 5’
Another stunning large scale mural completed entitled ‘Chrome Kong VS Chrome Zilla’. The bad weather conditions with heavy rain did not stop the artist to produce this hyper realistic duo. The mural can be seen on Troutman and 3.
At the term of his journey, Fanakapan completed this ‘Bushwick’ foil Balloon piece. Make sure to keep an eye on Instagrafite to see what the artist is up to next in LA!
