Bom.K invested in this exhibition with all his technique and know-how, while taking the risk of renewing his work. He touches with the tip of the fingers the idea of a rendering on his painting allowing a certain transition. His public will certainly recognise certain themes already discussed before and will discover new directions borrowed especially for this exhibition for which he has created a large number of works, also passing through installation and volume.
This new exhibition is entitled “Effets Secondaires” has a reference to the sensations and / or the effect of surprise that we can experience with a work of art of which we have succeeded in grasping the meaning after having first appreciated the technique and the theme. At the same time there is reference to a wooden work bearing the same name and dealing with the subject of over consumption, exhaustion of natural resources – that brings us back to the future.
In his latest exhibition the artist also discuss other subjects such as “Flesh under cloth and harmony”, a subject dear to the artist, a surrealist dream where the matter develops the laws of gravity with a disturbing sense of disproportion. You can also discover “Klown Ghetto”, this new series representing a troubling cocktail of antics and cynicism by the caustic humour of its modern clowns distinguishing itself from what we knew until now of his universe.
Other more serious themes are also explored, such as the desire for ecological and political awareness and the representation of somewhat disastrous protection. All in all, the show offers to his audience a ballad directly connected to the imagination of Bom.K. Ballad which he offers us, allowing us to interpret our own way and especially to wander through our bodies and our spirits, thus dreaming in our turn.
