Started in 2015 the street art festival of Evry, in France welcomed fifty artists from the six cities of the area. Once known as Grand Paris Sud it has now grown from 6 to 24 municipalities. The Festival has now a name: WALL STREET ART.
The project is led by the Artistic Director Gautier Jourdain, also co-founder with Mathilde Jourdain of the well known Galerie Mathgoth. While continuing the work done before, the idea is to give a second breath to the festival so that it still gains in notoriety. The majority of the works that will be presented will be large frescoes on complete gables and it will involved artists from the international scene.
Today we are pleased to reveal David Walker‘s mural completed in Seine et Marne (77) in the heart of the town of Lieusaint. This is the portrait of a young woman named YULI. You can easily recognise the artist’s unique style where layer after layer the different colours end up revealing a portrait close to hyper-realism.
Many other artists have been approached including Case Maclaim, Fintan Magee, C215, Astro… The next confirmed participating artist is ECB from Germany! He will begin his fresco around June 6 in the Pyramids district in Evry.
