To accompany the reopening to the public of the Hall Seine on the 29th of August, as well as the launch of the of the 2016 / 2017 season of cultural and radio programming, Radio France proposed to the association Art Azoï, along with 9 acclaimed urban artists , to realise a temporary collective installation on the facade of the Maison de la Radio building made of glass.
Elise Herszkowicz, artistic director of Art Azoï, presents artists who work with abstraction in order to anticipate a graphic work of multiple interpretations, wherein its appreciation would also be enhanced by the transparency of the glass. The combined geometric shapes serve as a frame with angular contours, a graphic counterpoint to the iconic rounded building.
In a dynamic movement, the spatial composition imagined by Lek offers to artists a frame of intervention that is a harmonious combination of several artists, a common theme of abstraction that is accessible and comprehensible from the exterior as well as the interior of the building. By working with solid colours and blank space, opacity and transparency, the work as a whole unites each glass panel, acting like a coloured wooden lattice. This monumental fresco represents all of the diversity and cultural effervescence of the Maison de la radio.
