The Artistic duo NEVERCREW is currently in Berlin as they are almost finishing their new mural. Before joining Urban Nation they just returned from Paris where they have been busy completing a series of different interventions. Today we will explore what they have been up to in the capital.
“Sensing machine n°3” is the mural intervention realised at the iconic Le M.U.R., an historical institution of street art in Paris. Le M.U.R. is an important tradition in the street art scene in Paris and it’s strictly connected to the neighbourhood in which it leaves and evolves. With the idea of a temporary intervention (that’s part of Le M.U.R. concept), NEVERCREW decided to realise something connected both to the idea of time and related in a direct way to the location. They then took a sort of photograph of the moment, recording a situation that disappeared in the same moment in which they looked at it and that’s now only recalled in its reflection.

The second installation entitled “Sensing machine n°7” is an augmented reality intervention realised in collaboration with BEPART in conjunction to NEVERCREW’s solo exhibition “Incidence” at GCA Gallery in Paris, 2018. The Augmented Reality intervention can be found in Rue Brisemiche, Paris.

Placed in front of the Stravinsky Fountain by Niki de Saint Phalle and Jean Tinguely, at the side of Jef Aerosol’s mural and facing the Centre Pompidou, this wants to be an homage to visual art, to music, to architecture, to street art, to Paris and to art in general. An homage to art as a mirror itself.
In conjunction to these two interventions NEVERCREW also presented their first gallery show titled “Incidence”. A solo exhibition at GCA Gallery in Paris, 2018. Below is a selection of their work and the show runs until the 2nd of June 2018.
